Collaborative Event

We’re very pleased to publish the event programme and welcome registration for Feminism in Academia: An Age of Austerity? Current Issues and Future Challenges scheduled for Friday 28th September at the University of Nottingham. The event will be a full day of discussion around the current position of feminism in academia. In addition to keynote talks by Professor Mary Evans (LSE) and Professor Mary Eagleton (formerly LMU), the programme includes a roundtable discussion with Dr Becky Munford (Cardiff University) and Dr Pam Alldred (Brunel University) as well as career development workshops led by Dr Rachel Carroll (Teesside Univeristy) and Dr Carolyn Pedwell (Newcastle University). It will also include participation from a range of national feminist organisations as well as publishers in the field including Ashgate Publishers, Combined Academic Publishers, Polity Press, Zed Books and Palgrave Macmillan. We very much hope you’ll be able to join us for what promises to be a lively day of discussion. Full details of how to register for the event can be found on the Registration tab, but of course, if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

With best wishes, Helen and Claire
